Rule 26.11 Official Reporter

When a mass litigation case is being handled, the judge in charge picks one official court reporter to type up and record everything that happens during the case. This reporter becomes the only person allowed to create an official written record of the hearings and proceedings.

No one else can step in to make transcripts of the case unless the judge specifically says it's okay. This keeps things consistent and makes sure there's one clear, trusted record that everyone involved in the case can rely on. If a party wants to use a different transcriber for some reason, they need to ask the judge for permission first.
