v1.70.0 August 24, 2026
  • Updated the Massachusetts Rules of Appellate Procedure to the edition including amendments effective September 1, 2026 — most importantly Rule 25, which the court has rewritten from “Damages for Frivolous Appeal in Civil Cases” to “Appellate Attorney's Fees and Costs” and substantially expanded
  • Nine other appellate rules had small text discrepancies against the court's current published version, all now corrected
  • Plain-English summaries for the ten affected rules have been withdrawn until they can be rewritten against the current text
v1.69.0 August 24, 2026
  • Added Louisiana — all four procedural codes and 3,363 articles, the largest jurisdiction on the site: the Code of Civil Procedure (1,260 articles), the Code of Criminal Procedure (795), the Code of Evidence (106), and the Children's Code (1,202)
  • Louisiana's procedure is statutory rather than court-promulgated, so the text comes from the Louisiana State Legislature and the unit is an article rather than a rule — every article carries its full text, its source credit showing each act that amended it, and linked cross-references to the other articles it cites
  • Each code is grouped by the legislature's own books, titles and chapters, so Criminal Procedure Article 401 sits under "Qualifications and Selection of Grand and Petit Jurors" rather than in a flat list of 795
  • Articles the legislature has repealed, redesignated or reserved are kept as entries showing what happened to them, so a citation to a renumbered article still leads somewhere — Civil Procedure Article 1067 records its redesignation to Article 1041
v1.68.0 August 23, 2026
v1.67.0 August 23, 2026
v1.66.0 August 23, 2026
  • Fixed eight Ohio rules where a cross-reference or a case citation that wrapped onto its own line was being shown as a subdivision label, splitting one sentence into two. Appellate Rule 19 now reads "produced in a manner prescribed by subdivision (A). Motions and other papers may be produced in a like manner" as one passage, and the year in a case citation in Evidence Rule 702 is no longer labelled as a subdivision. The others were Appellate Rule 9, Appellate Rule 29, Civil Rule 45, Criminal Rule 24, Evidence Rule 615, and Juvenile Rule 40
  • Ohio Juvenile Rule 23 has been reserved by the Supreme Court of Ohio, but its page was still showing the committee commentary written for the former rule, and that commentary was still turning up in search. It has been removed
v1.65.0 August 23, 2026
  • Florida rules now match the current published versions, including the July 2026 amendments. Probate Rule 5.425's threshold for disposition without administration rose from $10,000 to $20,000, and Rule 5.530's summary administration threshold from $75,000 to $150,000
  • Rule 2.515 of the Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration now carries the court's new requirement that a signer certify the legal authorities cited in a filing exist and are accurately cited, with sanctions for a violation
  • Traffic Court Rule 6.100 refers to magistrates rather than hearing officers; Small Claims Rule 7.070 gained the 120-day limit for serving initial process; Appellate Rule 9.420 now says "unrepresented" where it said "pro se"; and Rule 2.540's accommodation-request provisions were rewritten. Twenty-three Florida rules changed in total
  • The Florida Evidence Code is now taken from the 2026 Florida Statutes rather than the 2025 edition, so section 90.5021 shows its 2026 amendment
  • Fixed 14 Florida rules where a cross-reference or a citation year that wrapped onto its own line was being shown as a subsection label. In Rule 2.420 a reference to "subdivision (e), (f), or (g)" now reads as one sentence, and in Appellate Rule 9.420 and Rule 2.540 a sentence that had been split in the middle of a statutory citation is whole again
v1.64.0 August 23, 2026
  • Texas rules now match the current published versions, including the Rules of Evidence as amended effective July 2, 2026 and the Rules of Appellate Procedure as amended effective February 6, 2026. Evidence Rule 412 was repealed and replaced, and the site had still been showing the former rule
  • Civil Rule 330 carries the court's rewritten provision on random assignment of cases and bench exchanges, replacing the former exchange-and-transfer text; Appellate Rule 31 reflects the change from arraignment to magistration; and Evidence Rule 404 carries the court's 2026 comment
  • Fixed six Texas rules where a cross-reference that wrapped onto its own line was being shown as a subsection label, which split one sentence into two paragraphs. Civil Rule 215's reference to "paragraphs (1), (2), (3), (4) or (5) of this subdivision" now reads as one sentence, and the year in a case citation in Evidence Rule 601 is no longer labelled as a subsection numbered 1944. The others were Civil Rule 91a, Appellate Rule 28, Appellate Rule 34, and Evidence Rule 412
v1.63.0 August 23, 2026
  • Added 49 Ohio rules that were missing, including the whole set of probate division rules under Civil Rule 73 — definitions, appraisers, counsel fees, and the rest
  • Ohio rules that the Supreme Court has reserved now appear as reserved instead of vanishing. Eighteen rules were affected, among them Juvenile Rule 23, which had still been showing text the court has since withdrawn
  • Added New Jersey's Rules of Professional Conduct back to the site, all 43 of them, from RPC 1.1 through RPC 8.5
  • Fixed the lettering in New Jersey Rule 5:8-5, which showed two paragraphs labelled (a) and no (c), and in Rule 4:25-3, whose numbered list restarted at (1) instead of continuing at (17)
  • Three New Jersey rules on committee membership now carry the court's current wording on term limits
v1.62.0 August 22, 2026
  • Restored missing text in 142 California rules. A paragraph that the Judicial Council prints without a letter or number of its own was being dropped, so rules ended earlier than they should have. Rule 5.475 of the Rules of Court now carries the clerk's duty to send an endorsed filed copy of the order within 15 court days, which had been cut
  • Added the missing lettered sub-lists in eight California rules, including the training topics under Rule 5.230, and the fourth item in the list of protective orders in Rule 5.632
  • Eleven California rules had their amendment history printed in the middle of the rule text instead of in the amendment history. It now appears where it belongs, on rules including Rule 5.502, Rule 9.30, and Rule 10.40
  • Removed stray page numbers that had been appearing inside the text of 26 California rules
  • California rule cross-references are now links. A mention of another rule in the same set takes you straight to it, on 541 rules where only 35 had links before
v1.61.1 August 21, 2026
  • Fixed 55 Minnesota rules that showed a subsection letter on a line of its own, with the text of the subsection beginning on the next line. Rule 1.0 of the Rules of Professional Conduct now reads "(a) "Belief" or "believes" denotes…" as one paragraph, as the court prints it
  • The Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines grids now keep their italics and footnote markers. A presumptive sentence of 406 months with a discretionary range of 346-480 and a footnote had been running together as "346-4801"; the range is italicised and the footnote marker raised, as in the published Guidelines
  • Restored the table of brief length limits in the committee comment to Rule 131 of the Rules of Civil Appellate Procedure, which had been missing
v1.61.0 August 21, 2026
v1.60.1 August 21, 2026
  • Corrected the titles of all 63 North Dakota Supreme Court Administrative Rules, which repeated the rule number inside the title ("Rule 58 - Vexatious Litigation"), and restored the [REPEALED], [OBSOLETE] and [NOT ADOPTED] markers on the eleven rules that carry one. Nine rules now show the numbering the court itself uses — Administrative Rule 6.1 rather than 6-1
  • North Dakota Criminal Rule 40 had no title at all; it now reads [Reserved for Future Use], like the other reserved rules
  • Tables in North Dakota rules render as real tables again. Administrative Rule 12's case-management time standards had run together — "75% within 120 days90% within 180 days" — and the columns are now aligned, with the links to the court's mediation forms in Appendix I restored
  • Fixed indentation in North Dakota Civil Rule 8, where the list of affirmative defenses sat one level too shallow
v1.60.0 August 20, 2026
v1.59.0 August 19, 2026
  • Added two Delaware Court of Chancery rules that were missing: Rule 79.1 and Rule 79.2. Their text had been absorbed into Rule 79's amendment history, which is now correct
  • Corrected subsection numbering and indentation in 29 Delaware rules across all five rule sets. Several rules had subsection numbers missing entirely — Superior Court Civil Rule 4's service-of-process list, for instance, ran items (II) through (VI) together as plain text — and a few showed a citation year or a cross-reference as though it were a subsection number
  • Updated 11 U.S.C. § 330 in the Bankruptcy Code to reflect Pub. L. 119-76: the trustee fee is $105, and the repealed Chapter 7 Trustee Fund subsection has been removed
  • Updated Michigan Court Rule 6.201 to the current version. A new subsection (B), Notice of Expert Evidence of Diminished Capacity, had been added and the later subsections relettered, so subsection letters from (B) onward were out of step with the current rule
v1.58.1 August 15, 2026
  • Fixed cross-reference links inside plain-English summaries. Some links pointed to a page that didn't exist, and summaries of the Bankruptcy Rules linked references to the Civil Rules as though they were bankruptcy rules; those now read as plain text
v1.58.0 August 13, 2026
  • Redesigned the home page for faster navigation: it now opens with a search box, and the long list of every rule set has been replaced by a compact grid of jurisdictions — a much shorter page, especially on a phone
  • Every plain-English summary now carries a line noting that the summary is not the rule and that the rule text controls
v1.57.0 August 4, 2026
  • Added a Most Popular Rules page, ranking the most-read individual rules site-wide over the last 30 days
v1.56.0 July 31, 2026
  • Fixed a formatting issue in the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, Criminal Procedure, Appellate Procedure, Evidence, and Bankruptcy Procedure where certain rule subheadings (e.g. Bankruptcy Rule 2002(a) and (b)) weren't bolded like their neighboring subsections; also corrected a small number of cross-reference links
v1.55.0 July 30, 2026
  • Added the Northern Mariana Islands: Rules of Civil Procedure, Criminal Procedure, Evidence, Supreme Court Rules, Probate Procedure, Attorney Discipline and Procedure, and Juvenile Delinquency Procedure are now available, sourced directly from the CNMI Commonwealth Law Revision Commission
v1.54.0 July 30, 2026
  • Added Connecticut: the Practice Book's Superior Court General Provisions, and Procedure in Civil, Family, Juvenile, and Criminal Matters, the Rules of Appellate Procedure, and the Code of Evidence are now available, sourced directly from the Connecticut Judicial Branch
