§ 24-12-14 [Medical Education Use of Confidential Information]

Doctors, hospitals, and medical schools can still use patient cases for teaching purposes. This includes reviewing cases, talking about them with students, and presenting them in medical training or public health education.

This rule makes sure that privacy protections do not get in the way of how doctors have traditionally learned and taught medicine. Medical education has always relied on real cases, and this rule allows that to continue.
