§ 24-12-20 [AIDS Information Confidentiality in Physician Relationship]

If you have HIV or AIDS and share that information with your doctor, the law protects that information from being shared with others. This applies to any AIDS-related information that comes up between you and your physician.

There are some exceptions to this protection, but they are spelled out in a separate rule (Rule 24-12-21). Outside of those specific exceptions, your doctor cannot reveal your AIDS-related information in court or legal proceedings.
