§ 24-13-115 [Article Two Applicability to Interstate Subpoenas]

When someone from another state needs a witness in Georgia to testify or hand over documents for an out-of-state court case, they must follow the rules in Article 2 of Georgia's evidence laws.

Article 2 sets out the basic rules for how subpoenas work in Georgia, including how they are served, what they require, and what protections witnesses have. Those same rules apply when the subpoena comes from another state's court rather than a Georgia court.
