§ 24-9-903 [Subscribing Witness Authentication Not Required]

When someone wants to use a written document as evidence in court, they do not need to call a witness who signed the document to prove it is real. Other methods can be used to show the document is authentic.

There is one exception. If the document was created under the laws of another state or country, and those laws say a signing witness must testify, then the court will follow that requirement.
