Rule 22.4 Collection of Data

When a child is in foster care and also has a delinquency or CHINS (Child in Need of Services) case open against them, the court clerk must start tracking certain information about that case. Specifically, the clerk keeps records on whether the case is moving forward within the time limits set by Georgia law.

This tracking helps make sure that children in foster care get their cases handled on time. Georgia law sets specific deadlines for how long these cases can take, and collecting this data helps the court see if those deadlines are being met.
