Rule 44.2 Clerical and Accounting Costs Withheld

When money comes into the magistrate court in certain situations, the court cannot take out any fees for clerical or accounting work. This applies when someone pays a garnishment, when property is redeemed before a public sale, when a defendant pays off a claim completely, or when a defendant pays rent to the court in an eviction case.

This means the full amount of money paid goes where it is supposed to go, without any portion being held back for court administrative costs. The person or party who is owed money receives the complete payment.
