Rule 4.4 Limitation of access -- motions and orders.

Anyone involved in a court case can ask the judge to restrict public access to certain documents in that case. This might be useful if a file contains sensitive personal information, financial details, or other private matters that could cause harm if made public.

If the judge agrees, they will issue a written order that explains exactly which documents are restricted, how long the restriction will last, and why the restriction was granted. The judge will not simply seal an entire file without giving specific reasons.
