Rule 10.4 Excusals From Courtroom

Only the judge can tell someone to leave the courtroom during a case. This includes the parties involved in the case, any witnesses (even ones who have already testified), and the lawyers.

No one else, not another lawyer, a court officer, or anyone else in the room, has the authority to dismiss or excuse someone from the courtroom. If you are part of a case and someone other than the judge tells you to leave, you do not have to follow that instruction.
