Rule 3.10 Practice of Law

Judges are not allowed to work as lawyers while they are serving as judges. This means they cannot represent clients, give legal advice for pay, or handle legal work for other people.

However, judges can handle their own personal legal matters. For example, a judge can represent themselves in court or fill out their own legal paperwork if they are personally involved in a case.
