Plain-English Summary (for reference only — not a substitute for the rule text above)
This summary is not the rule. The rule text controls.
If a lawsuit is filed and the other side needs to be notified through a public notice (usually because they can't be found or served directly), that notice has to run in a local newspaper. The newspaper must be one that regularly circulates in the county where the case was filed.
The notice needs to be printed once a week for three weeks in a row. It can't be spread out longer or run fewer times than that. The person who filed the lawsuit gets to pick which newspaper runs the notice, as long as it's a paper that serves that county.
