Art. 4202 General duties of undertutor

When a child has a tutor (someone managing their affairs, like a guardian), the court also appoints an undertutor to keep an eye on things. This person's job is to review what the tutor wants to do and tell the court whether they agree with it or not.

The undertutor also steps in to represent the child's interests if there's ever a conflict between what the child needs and what the tutor wants. This protects the child from situations where the tutor's decisions might not be in the child's best interest.
