XLII § 11 Electronic Notice

When you file a document electronically with the Louisiana Supreme Court, the system automatically sends an email confirming the filing. This email goes to the person who submitted the document, plus anyone else who was listed as a registered user on that filing.

But this confirmation email is not the same as officially serving the document on the other parties in your case or on a lower court. If a law, court order, or rule says you need to formally serve the document on someone, you still have to do that separately. Getting the automatic email does not count as meeting that requirement.
