XLII App. B Schedule of Electronic Filing Types

This rule lists the types of documents you can file electronically with the Louisiana Supreme Court if you are a Registered User of the Court Document/Data Exchange system. Instead of mailing paper copies or filing in person, you can submit these documents online.

The list covers most of the common filings people need to make during a case. This includes writ applications, petitions, and appendices or exhibits that support your case. It also covers oppositions and replies, which are documents you file to respond to something the other side has submitted.

Other documents on the list include supplements, which add more information to a filing you already made, and motions, which ask the court to take some kind of action. Briefs, where you lay out your legal arguments, and rehearing requests, which ask the court to reconsider a decision, can also be filed this way. If you are registered to use the electronic system, this rule confirms that all these document types are accepted through it, so you do not need to file them on paper.
