XXXII § 3 Confidentiality

When a court case involves a child, the child's identity must be kept private. This applies no matter what type of case it is, whether it's civil, criminal, or something else.

Anyone filing legal briefs with the court must protect the child's identity. The same goes for the court itself when it writes its final decisions or opinions. This means names and other identifying details about minors should not appear in these documents.

This protects children from having their personal information become part of the public record. Even though court documents are often public, this rule makes sure kids involved in legal cases don't have their identities exposed.
