This rule explains how judges and other qualifying court staff earn credit for approved training programs. They get 1 credit for every hour they actually spend attending an approved class or program. If they attend for less than a full hour, they can still earn partial credit, counted in tenths of an hour.

This means someone doesn't need to sit through a full session to get some credit. For example, if a program lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes, the person would earn 2.5 credits, as long as the time is tracked in tenth-of-an-hour increments. The key point is that credit is based on actual time spent attending, not just on signing up or being scheduled for a program.
