Rule 5-114 Extension of time.

If someone involved in a judicial discipline case needs more time to meet a deadline, this rule allows for a short extension. The commission, or its chairman, can push back deadlines for filing an answer, starting a hearing, filing a master's report, or filing objections to that report. The same goes for a master, who can delay the start of a hearing they're overseeing.

These extensions are limited to 30 days at a time. This gives people involved in the case a bit of breathing room without letting delays drag on indefinitely. The goal is to balance fairness to the parties with keeping the process moving at a reasonable pace.
