If a mediation center wants funding, it has to submit an application that covers several key details. This includes a plan for how the center will run, what it hopes to achieve, who it will serve, and how it's organized administratively. The application also needs to show how the center keeps records, what qualifications its mediators have, what its budget looks like, and proof that it's a nonprofit organization.

These are the basic requirements set by law, but they're not the only ones.
