§ 746 Sequence of hearings

Once the judge finishes hearing the facts of the case and makes a decision on what happened, the court can move straight into the next phase without delay. This next phase is called the dispositional hearing, and it's where the judge decides what should happen as a result of the findings, such as what actions or penalties are needed.

In simple terms, this rule means the court doesn't have to wait or schedule a separate day for this second hearing. As soon as the judge makes the required findings from the fact-finding hearing, the case can continue right away into deciding the outcome. This helps keep the process moving quickly and avoids unnecessary delays for everyone involved.
