Rule 8 Notice of Investigation

The Investigator shall promptly notify the Subject Judge in writing of the nature of the complaint. The notice shall include the name of the complainant, unless the Investigator determines that there is good cause to withhold that information taking into consideration factors, including but not limited to the materiality of the information possessed by the complainant and the position the complainant occupies in relation to the judge. The notice may consist of the order by the Supreme Court appointing the Investigator with any relevant attachments. The Subject Judge may respond, in writing, to the notice of investigation within fifteen

(15) days of service.
