Rule 1309 Parties to Appeal

If one person in a case decides to appeal, that appeal automatically counts for everyone involved in the case. You do not need to file your own separate appeal just because another party already filed one.

However, all parties can agree in writing to limit the appeal to only certain issues or certain people. If everyone signs a written agreement saying the appeal only covers specific things, the court will respect that agreement.
