Rule 358 Appearance at Business Court Proceedings

In the Business Court, people can sometimes attend hearings remotely using video or phone. However, there are two situations where remote attendance is not allowed or cannot be forced on anyone.

First, if a hearing involves witness testimony, the court cannot make a party or their lawyer attend remotely unless both sides agree to it. Second, no one can attend a jury trial remotely, whether the court wants to allow it or not.
