Rule 358 Appearance at Business Court Proceedings

In Texas Business Court cases, most hearings can be held remotely using video or phone, following the standard rules for remote proceedings. However, there are two situations where electronic appearances are not allowed without special permission.

If a hearing involves someone testifying out loud, the court cannot force a party or lawyer to appear electronically unless everyone involved agrees to it. And for jury trials, no one can appear electronically at all, whether the court wants to require it or allow it.
