Rule 764 May Appoint Surveyor

If a judge thinks it would help, they can bring in a land surveyor to work alongside the commissioners who are dividing up property. This might happen when the land is complex or hard to divide fairly without professional measurements.

When a surveyor is appointed, their name will be written into the official court order for the partition. A court officer will then formally notify the surveyor by reading that order out loud to them.
