Rule 778 Costs

When a court divides property among multiple people in a partition case, each person pays a share of the court costs. The amount each person pays is based on how much their portion of the property is worth.

For example, if you receive a larger or more valuable piece of the divided property, you will pay more of the court costs than someone who receives a smaller or less valuable piece. The costs are split fairly based on value, not divided equally.
