Rule 606 Competency of Juror as Witness

A juror cannot be a witness in the same trial where they are serving as a juror. These are two separate roles, and one person cannot fill both at the same time.

If someone tries to call a juror to testify, the other side has the right to object. That objection happens outside the jury room, away from the other jurors, so the rest of the jury does not hear the dispute.
