Rule 19 Transfer/change of Venue

When a case needs to be moved to a different county, the judge handling the case takes care of the transfer. The judge will sign an order that officially moves the case to the new location.

Once that order is signed, the clerk of the original court must send the complete case file to the clerk of the new court. This includes all the original paperwork and documents that have been filed in the case. The new court then takes over from there.
