Rule 24.3 Acknowledgement and Waivers

When you sign papers that show you received court documents, someone official must watch you sign. This can be a notary public or another authorized officer, or it can be the lawyer involved in the case.

If both sides in a case agree to something and put it in writing, both people must sign that agreement. Each signature also needs to be witnessed the same way, either by an official officer or by the attorneys in the case.
