Rule 36.8 File Categories

The clerk of court keeps case files sorted into three groups: civil cases, criminal cases, and adoptions.

Each new case you file will be placed into one of these three categories depending on what type of case it is. Knowing which category your case falls under helps you find your file and makes sure it gets handled correctly by the court.
