Art. 4392 Final account

When a tutorship ends, the person who served as tutor can file a final account of how they managed the minor's affairs. They don't have to do this right away, but they can file it whenever they're ready after the tutorship is over.

There are also situations where the court will step in and order the tutor to file this final account. This happens if the former minor (now an adult) asks the court to require it after the tutorship has ended. It also happens automatically if the court removes the tutor from their position or lets them resign, once that judgment is issued.

In short, this rule makes sure there's always a way to get a final report on how a child's affairs were handled, either by the tutor choosing to file one or by the court requiring it.
